Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh (Habitat Pittsburgh) plans to develop and sell two single-family homes at 174-B-171 and 174-B-111 on N. Homewood Avenue in Homewood. Habitat Pittsburgh provides decent, affordable homeownership and home repair services for low- to moderate-income families. Habitat Pittsburgh was founded in 1986 as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (Habitat International), a global organization that now serves over 70 countries and 1,200 communities across the United States. Their mission is to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope in Allegheny County. Their vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to call home.
The Pittsburgh Land Bank’s Board approved the sale of these properties on Friday, April 12th at the monthly public meeting.

Community Input
After a property is approved for sale by The Pittsburgh Land Bank Board, there is a 20-day objection period. If the Land Bank receives 15 or more objections, the Land Bank will hold a community meeting to collect additional feedback and concerns. The feedback will then be presented to the Land Bank Board, who will vote a second time on whether or not to proceed with the sale.
